Chapter      17     Parinibbanna ( Death ) of the Buddha .
                         ျမတ္စြာဘုရား ပရိနိဗၺာန္ စံေတာ္မူျခင္း

A : " The Buddha worked hard to enlighten people. "
        ျမတ္စြာဘုရားသခင္ဟာ ေ၀ေနယ် သတၱ၀ါေတြကို ကယ္ခၽြတ္ဖုိ႔ရာ အျပင္းအထန္ အလုပ္လုပ္ခဲ့တာပဲေနာ္ ။

B : " Yes , indeed . "
      မွန္ပါတယ္ ။

A : " Where did the Buddha spend most of his time ? "
       ျမတ္စြာဘုရားဟာ မည္သည့္အရပ္မွာ အၾကာႀကီး သီတင္းသံုးခဲ့ပါသလဲ ။

B : " At Zetavanna monastery of Savitti City for 25 years. There the Buddha delivered his sermons . "
       သာ၀တၳိျပည္ ေဇတ၀န္ေက်ာင္းေတာ္မွာ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္ ။ အဲ့ဒိမွာ တရားေတြ ေဟာတာပါဘဲ ။

A : " What about Zetavanna ? "
       ေဇတ၀န္ေက်ာင္းက ဘယ္လိုပါလဲ ။

B : " It's the donation of the rich man Anahtapindika . " " Now you can see the remains in India . "
       အနာထပိဏ္ သူေ႒းႀကီးရဲ႕ ေကာင္းမႈပါ ။ အိႏၵိယျပည္မွာ ေက်ာင္းေတာ္ရာကုိ ေတြ႔ႏုိင္ပါေသးတယ္ ။

A : " Famous one ! "
       ေက်ာ္ၾကားပါတယ္ ။

B : " At the age of 80 , the Buddha informed Ananda , his personal attendant , At Pawa near Vesali . "
       သက္ေတာ္ ၈၀ အရြယ္ေရာက္လာတဲ့အခါ ျမတ္စြာဘုရားဟာ ညီေတာ္ အာနႏၵာကို ေ၀သာလီျပည္အနီး ပါ၀ါအရပ္မွာ ေျပာၾကားခဲ့တဲ့ စကား
       ရွိခဲ့ပါတယ္ ။

A : " What ? " " Important words ? "
      ဘာစကား ျဖစ္ပါသလဲ ။ အေရးႀကီးပါသလား ။

B : " He told him that he would die in three months from that day . At that time the Buddha had an attack of dysentry . "
       သံုးလေျမာက္တဲ့ အခါ ၊ ပရိနိဗၺာန္ စံေတာ္မူမယ့္ အေၾကာင္း မိန္႔ေတာ္မူတယ္ ။ အဲဒီအခ်ိန္မွာ ျမတ္စြာဘုရားသခင္ဟာ ၀မ္းကိုက္ေရာဂါ
       စြဲကပ္ေတာ္မူေနပါတယ္ ။

A : " What were the Blessed one's last words ? "
       ျမတ္စြာဘုရားရဲ႕ ေနာက္ဆံုး စကားေတြကုိ ေျပာပါအံုး ။

B : " He said , My monks-all things are subject to decay . Work out your salvation with diligence . "
       ခ်စ္သားရဟန္းတို႔ ၊ သခၤါရတရားတုိ႔ဟာ ပ်က္တတ္တဲ့ သေဘာ ရွိတယ္ ။ ခ်စ္သားတုိ႔ဟာ မေမ့မေလ်ာ့ၾကနဲ႔ ။
       ( ၀ယဓမၼာ ဘိကၡေ၀ ၊ အပၸမၼာေဒန ၊ သမၸာေဒထ ) အဲ့ဒိလုိ မိန္႔ေတာ္မူပါတယ္ ။

A : " All is impermanent " " Suffering ! "
       အားလံုး မၿမဲဘူးေပါ့ေနာ္ ။ ဒုကၡသစၥာတရားပါဘဲ ။

B : " Of course . The Buddha consoled his disciples and taught them the first-fundamental truth of suffering . "
      ဟုတ္ပါတယ္ ။ ျမတ္စြာဘုရားဟာ တပည့္သား သာ၀ကေတြကုိ ႏွစ္သိမ့္ၿပီး ဒုကၡသစၥာရဲ႕ အေျခခံ တရားကုိ ျပသခဲ့တာပါဘဲ ။

A : " Where did the Buddha travel to preach ? "
       ျမတ္စြာဘုရားသခင္ဟာ တရားေဟာဖုိ႔ ဘယ္ကုိ ႂကြပါသလဲ ။

B : " Far and wide . Though born of a royal family , His life's very simple and free from all kinds of pretensions . "
       က်ယ္က်ယ္ျပန္႔ျပန္႔ အႏွံ႔ ခရီးထြက္ခဲ့ပါတယ္ ။ သာကီ၀င္မင္းမ်ိဳးက ေမြးဖြားခဲ့ေပမယ့္ ၊ ျမတ္စြာဘုရားရဲ႕ ေနထုိင္သီတင္းသံုးပံုဟာ
       ႐ိုးသားလွပါတယ္ ။ ဟန္ေဆာင္မႈကင္းတယ္လို႔ ဆုိရမွာေပါ့ ။

A : " Pretensions ! "
      ဟန္ေဆာင္မႈေတြ ။ ဆုိစမ္းပါအံုး ။

B : " I mean - He dressed simply , ate simple food , and lived in simple residences , sometimes under a tree in the jungle . "
       ကၽြန္မ ေျပာခ်င္တာက - ျမတ္စြာဘုရားဟာ ႐ုိး႐ုိးပဲ ၀တ္စားေနထုိင္တယ္ ။ သာမန္ပဲ စားေသာက္တယ္ ။ တစ္ခါတစ္ရံမွာ ေတာထဲက
       သစ္ပင္ေအာက္မွာ သီတင္းသံုးေလ့ ရွိပါတယ္ ။

A : " Only by himself ? "
       ကိုယ္ေတာ္ တစ္ပါးတည္း ဒီလုိဘဲ ေနတာလား ။

B : " Of course not . That kind of life's also pratised by his noble monk disciples . "
       ဟင့္အင္း မဟုတ္ပါဘူး ။ ဒီလို ဘ၀မ်ိဳးဟာ ျမတ္စြာဘုရားရဲ႕ တပည့္သား သာ၀က ရဟန္းေတာ္မ်ား က်င့္သံုးရတာပါပဲ ။

A : " You know Brahmanism ? "
      ျဗဟၼဏ၀ါဒအေၾကာင္း သိပါသလား ။

B : " Yes, it's based on a caste system . "
      ဟုတ္ကဲ့ ၊ မ်ိဳး႐ုိး အဆင့္အတန္းေပၚ အေျခခံတဲ့ ၀ါဒပါဘဲ ။

A : " What about it ? "
       ဘယ္လိုပါလဲ ၊ ဆုိစမ္းပါအံုး ။

B : " According to the caste system , a person is considered high or low in which he is born . "
      မ်ိဳး႐ိုး အဆင့္အတန္း ခြဲတဲ့ သေဘာအရဆုိရင္ ၊ လူတစ္ေယာက္ကို ေမြးဖြားလုိက္တာနဲ႔ အဆင့္အတန္း ၊ ဇာတ္နိမ့္ ဇာတ္ျမင့္ ခြဲၿပီး ျဖစ္ပါတယ္ ။

A : " What's feeling of the Buddha ? "
       ျမတ္စြာဘုရားရဲ႕ ခံစားခ်က္က ဘယ္လုိပါလဲ ။

B : " He felt that - it's wrong and unfair . "
      ျမတ္စြာဘုရားသခင္ဟာ အဲ့ဒိဇာတ္ခြဲျခားမႈက မွားေနတယ္ ။ မေလ်ာ္ကန္ဘူးဆိုတာ ရိပ္စားမိပါတယ္ ။

A : " What did he try ? "
      ဒီေတာ့ ဘုရားသခင္ဟာ ဘယ္လုိ ဇာတ္ခြဲျခားမႈကုိ ႏုိင္ေအာင္ ႀကိဳးစားခဲ့ပါသလဲ ။

B : " By using his own action cleverly . "
      ကိုယ္ေတာ္တုိင္ လံု႔လဥႆဟ ထုတ္ ႀကိဳးစားခဲ့ပါတယ္ ။

A : " The Buddha presented a revolutionary idea ! "
       ျမတ္စြာဘုရားဟာ ေတာ္လွန္တဲ့ အေတြးအေခၚ ေပးခဲ့တာေပါ့ေနာ္ ။

B : " Needless to say . He's the perfect model of all the virtues he preached - the holiest of the holy , the wisest of the wise . "
      ေျပာစရာ မလုိပါဘူး ။ ျမတ္စြာဘုရားဟာ ေဟာေျပာတဲ့ တရားဓမၼအတုိင္း က်င့္ႀကံတဲ့ ပုဂၢိဳလ္ျမတ္ႀကီးပါ ။ အျမင့္ျမတ္တကာ့ အျမင့္ျမတ္ဆံုး ၊
     ပညာရွိမ်ားအနက္ ပညာဉာဏ္အႀကီးဆံုး ျဖစ္ေတာ္မူပါတယ္ ။

A : " Different from other teacher of His time ? "
       အဲ့ဒိအခ်ိန္ကာလ အျခားဘာသာေရး ဆရာႀကီးေတြနဲ႔ ကြဲျပားျခားနားမႈ ရွိပါသလား ။

B : "  Yes , Other teachers before and after him taught about God or Gods , but the Buddha simply taught the Truth or
      Dhamma . Understanding the Truth is the essence of enlightenment and the ultimate freedom . "
        ဟုတ္ကဲ့ ၊ ျမတ္စြာဘုရား ပြင့္ေတာ္ မမူမီနဲ႔ ပြင့္ေတာ္မူၿပီးေနာက္ ဘာသာေရး ဆရာႀကီးေတြ အားလံုး ျဗဟၼာေတြ နတ္ေတြ အေၾကာင္းကုိပဲ
       ေဟာၾကားၾကပါတယ္ ။ ဒါေပမယ့္ ျမတ္စြာဘုရားကေတာ့ သစၥာ ( ဓမၼ ) တရားအေၾကာင္းကိုဘဲ ေဟာေတာ္မူပါတယ္ ။ သစၥာေလးပါး
        တရားအေၾကာင္းကို သိျခင္းဟာ ၃၁ ဘံုက လံုး၀ လြတ္ၿငိမ္းသြားတဲ့ နိဗၺာန္ေရာက္ ၊ သဗၺညဳတ ေရႊဉာဏ္ေတာ္ရဲ႕ အႏွစ္သာရပါဘဲ ။

Chapter 16 Sending out A mission of Sixty Arahants . ရဟႏၲာ ( ၆၀ ) ကုိ သာသနာျပဳ ေစလႊတ္ျခင္း

Chapter      16     Sending out A mission of Sixty Arahants .
                        ရဟႏၲာ ( ၆၀ ) ကုိ သာသနာျပဳ ေစလႊတ္ျခင္း

A : " The Buddha devoted his time and energy for the benefit of mankind . "
       ျမတ္စြာဘုရားသခင္ဟာ ကုိယ္ေတာ္ျမတ္ရဲ႕ အခ်ိန္နဲ႔ စြမ္းအင္ဟူသမွ်ကို လူသတၱ၀ါေတြရဲ႕ အက်ိဳးအတြက္ အသံုးျပဳေတာ္မူပါတယ္ ။

B : " Since enlightenment ? "
      သဗၺညဳတ ေရႊဉာဏ္ေတာ္ရၿပီး ကတည္းကပဲလား ။

A : " Yes , of course . Until the last moment of his life , a period of forty-five years. "
      မွန္ပါတယ္ ။ ပရိနိဗၺာန္ စံေတာ္မူတဲ့ အထိ ၄၅ ႏွစ္ ကာလပတ္လံုးပါပဲ ။

B : " Could you explain to me in detail ? "
       ႀကီးမားျမင့္ျမတ္တဲ့ ရည္ရြယ္ခ်က္ပါပဲ ။

A : " The Buddha never thought of his personal comfort of leisure. He had universal love and infinate compassion-like
      that of Rahula, his only son. "
      ျမတ္စြာဘုရားဟာ ကိုယ္ေရးကိုယ္တာ တြယ္တာ ခ်စ္ခင္မႈ အတၱစြဲ မထားပါဘူး ။ မဟာက႐ုဏာေတာ္ အစဥ္ထားပါတယ္ ။

B : " What about compassion ? "
       မဟာက႐ုဏာေတာ္ ဆိုတဲ့ အဓိပၸာယ္ကို ရွင္းျပပါအံုး ။

A : " I mean the Buddha endeavoured to enlighten all those who could be guided and lead them on to the right path-natural
       way . "
      ဆိုလိုတာက- ျမတ္စြာဘုရားဟာ ကၽြတ္ထုိက္တဲ့ ေ၀ေနယ် သတၱ၀ါအေပါင္းကို ကယ္ခၽြတ္ဖို႔ ႀကိဳးစားေတာ္မူတယ္ ။ မဂၢင္လမ္းကို ေရွ႕ေဆာင္
      ညႊန္ျပေတာ္မူပါတယ္ ။ အရွိကို အရွိအတုိင္းပါ ။

B : " Where did he send the disciples ?
      သာ၀ကမ်ားကုိ ဘယ္ကိုေစလႊတ္ပါသလဲ ။

A : " To all parts of South-East Asia , including Myanmar . "
      ျမန္မာႏုိင္ငံအပါအ၀င္ အေရွ႕ေတာင္အာရွ ႏုိင္ငံအႏွ႔ံပါပဲ ။

B : " In group ? "
       တစ္စုတစ္႐ံုးထဲလား ... ။

A : " No , The Buddha didn't allow the monks to lead the way in group. He guided each to one way . Just to enlarge the
       places. "
       မဟုတ္ပါဘူး ။ ျမတ္စြာဘုရားဟာ ရဟန္းေတာ္မ်ားကုိ အစုအၿပံဳလုိက္ ႂကြသြားဖို႔ ခြင့္မျပဳပါဘူး ။ တစ္ပါးလွ်င္ တစ္ေၾကာင္းတည္းေသာ
       ခရီးကုိ သြားဖို႔ ခြင့္ျပဳေတာ္ မူပါတယ္ ။ ေနရာအႏွံ႔ ေရာက္ဖုိ႔ ျဖစ္တယ္ ။

B : " Why ? "
      ဘာေၾကာင့္ပါလဲ ။

A : " To get to the destination and to preach privately . "
      ခရီးတြင္ဖုိ႔နဲ႔ လြတ္လြတ္လပ္လပ္ ေျပာေဟာဖို႔ပါပဲ ။

B : " Excellent for mission ! "
       သိပ္ေကာင္းပါတယ္ ။

A : " Buddha preached his Dhamma 45 years last long. "
      ျမတ္စြာဘုရားဟာ တရားေတာ္ေတြကို ၄၅ ႏွစ္ပတ္လံုး ေဟာၾကားပါတယ္ ။

B : " Dhamma . Is it the way to Nibbanna ? "
       တရားေတာ္ေတြ နိဗၺာန္ေရာက္ေၾကာင္း လမ္းစဥ္လား ။

A : " Right , there are noble Eightfold paths ? Middle way is the basic of Dhamma _ and to Nibbanna ." If not- never get to
      Nibban . "
      ဟုတ္ပါတယ္ ။ မဂၢင္ရွစ္ပါး ရွိပါတယ္ ။ မဇၩိမပဋိပဋာလမ္းစဥ္ကုိ အေျခခံပါတယ္ ။

B : " What ! Eight fold paths ? "
       ဘာေတြလဲ ။ မဂၢင္ရွစ္ပါး ဆုိတာ ။

A : " Namely : Right view , Right thought , Right speech , Right bodily action , Right livelihood , Right endeavour ,
       Right mindfulness , Right concentration . "
       အဲ့ဒါေတြကေတာ့ သမၼာဒိ႒ိ ၊ သမၼသကၤေပၸါ ၊ သမၼာ၀ါစ ၊ သမၼာကမၼေႏၲာ ၊ သမၼာအာဇီေ၀ါ ၊ သမၼာ၀ါယေမာ ၊ သမၼာသတိ ၊ သမၼာသမာဓိ
      တုိ႔ပဲ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္ ။

B : " Noble Truths of the course leading to the cessation of suffering . "
       အရိယာတုိ႔ရဲ႕ လက္ကိုင္ ျမင့္ျမတ္တဲ့ မဂၢင္ရွစ္ပါး တရားေပါ့ေနာ္ ။

A : " That is right . It leads to Enlightenment and to Nibbanna . "
     ဟုတ္ပါတယ္ ။ ထုိးထြင္းသိတဲ့ အသိဉာဏ္ကို ရေစၿပီး နိဗၺာန္ကုိ ေရာက္ေၾကာင္း ျဖစ္ေစပါတယ္ ။

A : " The Buddha said " The doctrine is glorious in the beginning , in the middle and in the end . "
       ျမတ္စြာဘုရားက တရားေတာ္ဟာ အစ ၊ အလည္ ၊ အဆံုး  သံုးပါး စလံုး ေကာင္းျမတ္ျခင္း ျဖစ္တယ္လို႔ မိန္႔ေတာ္မူခဲ့ပါတယ္ ။

B : " To be considered . "
       စဥ္းစားစရာပါဘဲ ။

A : " The Buddha despatched His first sixty disciples in various directions . "
      ဗုဒၶဟာ ဦးဆံုး ျဖစ္တဲ့ သာ၀က ၆၀ ကုိ ေနရာဌာနအသီးသီးကုိ ေစလႊတ္တာပါဘဲ ။

B : " I'd like to know what happened to the Buddha after He had got his enlightenment . "
       ဘုရားျဖစ္ေတာ္မူၿပီးေနာက္ ျမတ္စြာဘုရားရဲ႕ အျဖစ္ေတာ္ကို သိခ်င္ပါေသးတယ္ ။

A : " The Buddha mostly lived at Zetavanna monastery of Savatti offered by Anahtapindika , the rich man .
       Sometimes He dwelled at Veluvanna . monastery offered by King Bimbisara of Rajagaha. During the lent he lived
       at the monastries and preached the Dhamma . After the lent He wandered about and preached the Dhamma .
       ျမတ္စြာဘုရားသခင္ဟာ အမ်ားအားျဖင့္ေတာ့ အနာထပိဏ္ သူေ႒းႀကီး လွဴဒါန္းတဲ့ သာ၀တၳိျပည္ ေဇတ၀န္ေက်ာင္းေတာ္မွာ သီတင္သံုးေတာ္
       မူတယ္ ။ တစ္ခါတစ္ရံမွာ ရာဇၿဂိဳဟ္ျပည္ ဗိမၺိသာရမင္းႀကီး လွဴဒါန္းတဲ့ ေ၀ဠဳ၀န္ေက်ာင္းေတာ္မွာ သီတင္းသံုးပါတယ္ ။ ေက်ာင္းေတာ္ေတြမွာ
       သီတင္းသံုး တရားေဟာတာကေတာ့ ၀ါတြင္းမွာေပ့ါ ။ ၀ါကၽြတ္တဲ့ အခါမွာေတာ့ ေနရာအႏွ႔ံ လွည့္လည္ၿပီး တရားေဟာတာပါဘဲ ။

B : " Excellent ! "
      ေကာင္းျမတ္ပါေပတယ္ ။
