Chapter 12 Suzata , the rich lady offered the milk porridge
သုဇာတာ သူေဌးသမီး ဃနာႏို႔ဆြမ္း ကပ္လွဴျခင္း

A : " After the future Buddha had stopped the Great Struggle , the rich lady Sujata offered the future Buddha the

milk porridge , the most delicious food . "
ျမတ္စြာဘုရားအေလာင္း ဒုကၠရစရိယ က်င့္ၿပီးခ်ိန္မွာ သုဇာတာ သူေဌးသမီးဟာ အလြန္အရသာရွိတဲ့ ဃနာႏို႔ဆြမ္းကို

လာေရာက္ၿပီး ကပ္လွဴပါတယ္ ။

B : " Sujata ! Where did she live ? "
သုဇာတာ သူေ႒းသမီးလား ။ သူက ဘယ္မွာေနတာလဲ ။

A : " She lived near Uruvala forest . She used to make an offering every year at the Banyan tree . "
သုဇာတာဟာ ဥ႐ုေ၀ဠေတာႀကီးအနီးမွာ ေနတာပါပဲ ။ ႏွစ္စဥ္ ပေညာင္ပင္ႀကီးကုိ လာၿပီး ပူေဇာ္ေလ့ရွိတယ္ ။

B : " What's the reason ? "
အေၾကာင္းကို ရွင္းျပပါဦး ။

A : " She believed that- the tree-god helped her to have a good marriage for her, and so a son was born to her. she

felt thankful.
သုဇာတာ ယံုၾကည္တာက သူ အိမ္ေထာင္က်ၿပီး သားေကာင္းတစ္ေယာက္ ေမြးတာ ေညာင္ေစာင့္နတ္ , မ လို႔ ျဖစ္တာလို႔

ယံုၾကည္တာ ။ ေက်းဇူးတင္တာေပါ့ေလ ။

B : " What's the connection with the future Buddha ? "
ဘုရားအေလာင္းနဲ႔ ဆက္သြယ္ပံု ေျပာပါဦး ။

A : " Now - the great Being had resumed taking usual food , because he found that the found that the Great

Struggle for six years practiced by him were not the way to enlightenment.
အဲဒီကာလမွာ ဘုရားအေလာင္းဟာ အစာအာဟာရကို ျပန္လည္မီွ၀ဲလ်က္ရွိၿပီး ျဖစ္ပါတယ္ ။ ဘာေၾကာင့္လဲဆုိေတာ့ ၆ ႏွစ္တုိင္

က်င့္ႀကံခဲ့တဲ့ ဒုကၠရစရိယအက်င့္ဟာ နိဗၺာန္ေရာက္ေၾကာင္း တရား အစစ္မဟုတ္တာကို သိျမင္လုိ႔ပါပဲ ။

B : " You mean - it's middle way - better to meditate ? "
မဇၩိမပဋိပဒါ က်င့္စဥ္ဟာ ပိုေကာင္းတယ္လို႔ ဆုိလိုပါသလား ။

A : " The best way , of course. On the full moon day of the month Visakha ( April - May ) the Future Buddha was

sitting under the " Banyan tree . "
မဇၩိမ ပဋိပဒါဟာ အေကာင္းဆံုးေပါ့ ။ ၀ိသာခါ နကၡတ္နဲ႔ ယွဥ္တဲ့ လျပည့္ေန႔မွာ ျမတ္စြာဘုရား အေလာင္းေတာ္ဟာ

ေညာင္ပင္ေအာက္မွာ သီတင္းသံုးေနေတာ္မူတယ္ ။

B : " Why did he sit only under the Banyan tree ? Any reason ? "
ဘုရားအေလာင္းဟာ ဘာျဖစ္လို႔ ေညာင္ပင္ေအာက္မွာပဲ သီတင္းသံုးတာလဲ ။ အေၾကာင္းရွိသလား ။

A : " Banyan tree's also called Bo tree-reached perfect wisdom , and therefore you can call it tree of knowledge . "
ေညာင္ပင္ကို ေညာင္ဗုဒၶေဟပင္လို႔လဲ ေခၚႏိုင္ပါတယ္ ။ ျမတ္စြာဘုရားဟာ ေဗာဓိပင္ေအာက္မွာ သဗၺညဳတေရႊဉာဏ္ေတာ္

ရေတာ္မူခဲ့တာကုိး ။ အဲ့ဒါေၾကာင့္ ဉာဏ္ေတာ္သစ္ပင္လို႔ ေခၚႏိုင္ပါတယ္ ။

B : " Just-a certain believing or thought of the Buddhists. Ever heard it's guarded by Nat' . "
ဗုဒၶဘာသာ၀င္ေတြရဲ႕ ယံုၾကည္မႈအေတြး တစ္မ်ိဳးေပါ့ေလ ။ အဲ့ဒိ ေညာင္ပင္ကို နတ္ေစာင့္တယ္လို႔ေတာ့ ၾကားဖူးပါတယ္ ။

A : " We , the Buddhists took upon the Bo tree as most Christians look upon the Cross . "
ခရစ္ယာန္ ဘာသာ၀င္ေတြ လက္၀ါးကပ္တုိင္ကို ေစာင့္ေရွာက္သလို ၊ ဗုဒၶဘာသာ၀င္ေတြဟာလဲ ေဗာဓိပင္ေတာ္ျမတ္ကို

ေစာင့္ေရွာက္ ကိုးကြယ္တာေပါ့ ။

B : " Good example "
သင့္ျမတ္ပါေပတယ္ ။

A : " To continue - Sujata thought the future Buddha to be the tree-god , her benefactor - offered him milk -

porridge in a golden bowl , worth a hundred thousand piece of money . "
သုဇာတာ သူေ႒းသမီးဟာ ဘုရားအေလာင္းကို သူ႔ရဲ႕ ေက်းဇူးရွင္ ႐ုကၡစိုးလို႔ ထင္ၿပီး ၊ ေရႊခြက္နဲ႔ ထည့္ထားတဲ့ ဃနာႏုိ႔ဆြမ္းကို

ကပ္ျခင္းျဖစ္ပါတယ္ ။

B : " Did the future Bhddha enjoy it ? "
ဘုရားအေလာင္းဟာ ဘုဥ္းေပးပါသလား ။

A : " Certainly ; and he proceeded to the banks of the Neranjara and ate the food . He took the bowl to the river

bank and set it on the river saying. " If today I shall be able to become a Buddha , let this bowl go by stream . "
ဘုရားအေလာင္းဟာ ဃနာႏို႔ဆြမ္း ေရႊခြက္ကို အကပ္ခံၿပီး ေနရၪၥရာ ျမစ္ကမ္းေျခကို ႂကြေရာက္ ဘုဥ္းေပးေတာ္မူတယ္ ။

ၿပီးတဲ့အခါ ျမစ္ကမ္းေျခကေနၿပီး ေရႊခြက္ကို ေမွ်ာခ်ရင္း " ငါသည္ ယေန႔ပင္ ဘုရားစင္စစ္ ဧကန္ ျဖစ္မည္ မွန္က ဤေရႊခြက္သည္

ျမစ္ညာသို႔ ဆန္ပါေစသား " လုိ႔ အဓိ႒ာန္ ျပဳလုိက္ပါတယ္ ။

B : " Was the wish fulfilled ? "
ဆႏၵျပည့္ေျမာက္ပါသလား ။

A : " It floated beyond-stream according to the desire . "
ေရႊခြက္ဟာ ျမစ္ညာကုိ ဆန္တက္သြားခဲ့ပါတယ္ ။ ဆႏၵေတာ္အတိုင္းပါဘဲ ။
